The Ukrainian Association of Football’s social project for the development of amputee football, “League of the Mighty,” has been awarded the UEFA Grassroots Awards 2025/26 in the Best Disability Initiative category. This is the first award of its kind in the history of Ukrainian football.

On October 13 in Krakow, at the Cracovia Stadium, during the Ukraine vs Azerbaijan match of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, the players were led onto the pitch by children of servicemen undergoing rehabilitation after injuries at the national RECOVERY rehabilitation centers network.

On October 13, representatives of the “Omega” special unit of the National Guard of Ukraine - active servicemen, veterans, and families of fallen soldiers - attended the Ukraine vs Azerbaijan match as part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, held in Krakow.

With the support of the Ukrainian Association of Football, 42 young footballers from the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kherson regions took part in an international youth camp held in Spain. The programme was implemented in cooperation with the Royal Spanish Football Federation.

Students of the First Ukrainian School led the players of the Ukraine and France national teams onto the pitch ahead of their World Cup 2026 qualifying match in Wrocław.

On September 5, fighters of the 12th Azov Brigade - including those who had been released from captivity, as well as those currently undergoing rehabilitation after injuries - attended the Ukraine vs France match as part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The game took place in Wrocław, Poland, at Tarczyński Arena Wrocław.

Twenty young footballers from Dnipro, who won the nationwide “Regions Cup 2025”, took part in a week-long training camp at the legendary INF Clairefontaine - the training base of the French national team.

The UAF Foundation and Vbet Foundation have announced the winners of the nationwide “Start the Game” programme.

During the 2024/2025 Nations League matches, the Foundation is conducting a fundraiser for sports rehabilitation of heroes at the Superhumans Center.

As part of the collaboration between the Ukrainian Association of Football and the UAF Foundation with European football associations, aimed at developing young footballers and supporting Ukrainian children, this summer organized vacations were arranged for children from frontline areas of Ukraine. Young footballers from Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, and Dnipro visited Italy and Germany, as well as enjoyed summer camps in the Carpathians.
