President of UAF, Andriy Shevchenko identified work on war-related trauma and the implementation of social projects as one of the key points in his football development program.
The UAF Foundation was established to implement initiatives aimed at developing football in Ukraine in the following key areas: adaptive, youth, and women’s football, as well as initiatives related to the consequences of the war.

The onset of the full-scale invasion forced many Ukrainians to leave their homes and familiar lives, change their place of residence, and rebuild their established routines from scratch. The Foundation’s work in supporting those affected by the war focuses on easing their adaptation to new conditions, restoring psychological balance, creating strong social connections, and finding new ways to overcome challenges through sport.

During the 2024/2025 Nations League matches, the Foundation is conducting a fundraiser for sports rehabilitation of heroes at the Superhumans Center. The goal of the fundraiser is to provide sports rehabilitation for 200 heroes using prosthetics. Living with prosthetics requires physical preparation – strong back muscles, coordination of movements, and balance skills, especially for people with high amputations of both legs.

The Ukrainian Association of Football, in collaboration with the UAF Foundation, has launched the "The Game Goes On" informational campaign to share the stories of people who have dedicated their lives to football. These stories include playing on the field under shelling, rebuilding sports facilities, the strength and will to continue training after a stadium is destroyed, and the resilience of Ukrainian footballers who, despite everything, prove that the game goes on.

As part of the collaboration between the Ukrainian Association of Football and the UAF Foundation with European football associations, aimed at developing young footballers and supporting Ukrainian children, this summer organized vacations were arranged for children from frontline areas of Ukraine. Young footballers from Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, and Dnipro visited Italy and Germany, as well as enjoyed summer camps in the Carpathians.
