
This report presents the findings of a systematic desk review conducted between December 2025 and February 2026, covering governance frameworks, training methodologies, rehabilitation models, scientific research, and inclusion-oriented practices in amputee football across Europe.
Key findings include:
Analysis of five country models: Poland, Spain, France, Ukraine, and Turkey
- Mapping of 19 EAFF member federations representing 1,607 registered players across 86 clubs
- Identification of critical gaps in female participation (4.2%), standardised performance testing, and longitudinal research
- Strategic recommendations for evidence-based development of amputee football in Europe
- Policy gap analysis on legal and administrative barriers to participation for vulnerable populations
